Detroit, Michigan
I have a photo bucket list and there are many things on that list. One of the top things though is a photo of the Detroit, Michigan skyline at night from Belle Isle. I was recently given the opportunity to mark this photo off my list when I was invited to tag along on a trip to the Motor City with a photography group out of Lapeer, Michigan. I met some great people and photographers in this group who I am sure will teach me a lot of photography skills. It really is so much fun seeing what catches another photographers eye. We spent the entire day in the city of Detroit by starting early in the morning and didn’t wrap up until well after dark! I was so excited to see so many things throughout this bustling city, it really is a gorgeous place and definitely provides some of the best pictures of Michigan. I know that one day in Detroit is not enough for me to see it all or to even photograph all of the scenery so I know I will be back soon! Here are a few highlights from my day in Detroit!
In this image of the Detroit, Michigan skyline you can see the Ambassador Bridge along with a glimpse of Canada on the other side. Simply gorgeous!

The Belle Isle Conservatory is a great place to visit (and it is warm on a cold day while you’re waiting for the sun to set like I was! I only spent a short time here, but grabbed this quick photo. If you would like to learn more about this conservatory, click here.
As night falls, Detroit, Michigan really puts on a light show. A glimpse of the Ambassador Bridge along with the buildings really light the water between the city and Belle Isle.
